Stu Levy Information
Stu Levy, Portland, Oregon, has taught at numerous workshops, including the Ansel Adams Workshops, Bruce Barnbaum Photographic Arts Workshops, the Coupeville Arts Center Workshops, and his own Shore Acres Workshop on the Oregon Coast.

A family practice physician for Northwest Permanente, PC, Stu studied photography with Ansel Adams. He has had over 20 one-person shows of his work.

His perceptive comments during student critique sessions are among the most insightful of anyone's in helping a student fully realize his or her potential.

In his own work, Stu has concentrated on thought-provoking landscapes of his native Oregon and on the remarkable landscapes of the American Southwest. He has not confined his work to those areas, having traveled extensively in the U.S. and abroad. For 10 years, he has produced a series of complex "grid-portraits," large arrays of 20 or more images assembled to show artists in their working environments. They often contain humorous or surrealistic overtones.

Galleries representing Stu Levy include SK Josefsberg in Oregon, and Scheinbaum & Russek Ltd. in New Mexico.
