I circled the WSU campus for several days, looking for an interesting angle to show the campus. I found several intriguing views, but always felt that I would be putting my tripod into someone else's tripod holes.
Then I spotted this view out the edge of my motel window at the Hawthorn Inn and Suites. I used both Fuji 300mm and Nikon 500mm lens on my 4x5. I bracketed exposures as the sun set, using both Tri-X, T-400 and Velvia. I developed the Tri-X early to see if I got anything. This was the best exposure, though I had to fix a line through the sky and open up the shadow areas.
I was at the university with my son for his basketball camp. While he played hoops I walked the campus where I graduated in 1979. The exercise did me good, both physically and mentally.
